The Undercrown brand, which debuted in 2011, is celebrating its tenth anniversary. Drew Estate has released the Liga Undercrown 10, an ultra-premium blend on par with the Liga Privada line, to commemorate the occasion. The Liga Undercrown 10 is made with a Mexican San Andrés dark wrapper that was harvested at the peak of priming. This is complemented by a Connecticut River Valley broadleaf binder and an all-Nicaraguan filler. The traditional Undercrown Maduro uses a San Andrés wrapper, a Connecticut Habano binder, and Nicaraguan Habano and Brazilian Mata Fina fillers. Bringing Mexican hot chocolate to smokers... Naturally sweet with raisin and cacao hints, waves of intense black pepper, sun-dried cherries, espresso, woodiness, and earthiness.
