The Umbagog is a hearty and durable cigar named after Dunbarton founder Steve Saka's favorite wilderness lake, located on the border of New Hampshire and Maine, and derived from the native Abenaki word for "shallow water." Steve designed it with outdoor excursions in mind.
A Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper encases Nicaraguan fillers and binder, giving this hardworking cigar earthy and spice flavors. The Umbagog, in Saka's words, is "the perfect cigar for mowing the yard, hiking, four wheelin', and, of course, fishing," and it's built to withstand such rigors thanks to its thick wrapper and easy-burning fillers. The Umbagog is a workman's cigar through and through, delivering consistent, delicious flavor even when put through the wringer.
