The Habano Bourbon Barrel-Aged Sun Grown, like Perdomo's Habano Bourbon Barrel-Aged Connecticut, has a wrapper that has been aged six years before spending 10 months in bourbon barrels, taking on the subtle notes and nuances of the flavor imparted by the spirit to the wood. That leaf, however, is Nicaraguan Sun Grown for the Sun Grown version. Fillers from Nicaragua's prestigious Jalapa, Condega, and Estel regions, as well as a binder made of high-priming Cuban seed, contribute to the Habano Bourbon Barrel-Aged Sun Grown's earthy spice profile, which is tastefully highlighted by the bourbon barrels' influence, for a full-bodied smoke.
