Altadis USA, the makers of the legendary brand Montecristo, has released the Montecristo Epic Vintage 12 as a new addition to its Montecristo Epic line (Blue). The Montecristo Epic line debuted in 2012 with the Montecristo Epic Vintage 2007, a cigar made with tobaccos from the 2007 harvest. The Montecristo Epic Vintage 2012 is based on the same concept, but uses a 2012 vintage crop. Altadis' Grupo de Maestros blended the cigars to create a very special release. The cigar is made with an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, a Dominican binder, and a blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers. As a result, this medium-bodied blend has an elegant cigar with a smooth but flavor profile with just the right amount of spice and complexity.
The cigars are packaged in ten-count boxes and are made in the Dominican Republic at the Tabacalera de Garcia factory.
