The Aroma of Cuba Pasión has a beautiful Shade Grown wrapper from Namanji, where tobacco plants thrive in a unique microclimate 18 miles east of Estel. More than a decade ago, the Garcias recognised the region's untapped potential. Tobaccos of exceptional flavor, quality, and aroma are produced by warm days, cool nights, and fertile black soils. Over one-third of the private 300-acre estate is now dedicated to Shade Grown wrapper, which is grown on plots shielded from direct sunlight and nourished by the basin's snaking river. Every leaf of wrapper, binder, and filler harvested for Pasión is triple fermented according to traditional methods. The palate is layered with smoked cashew, leather, cedar, and molasses, as well as an extravagant spice and a medium body.
