Christian Eiroa has returned with a vengeance! Many assumed that after selling Camacho to Davidoff of Geneva, he would retire from the cigar industry and travel the world. Eiroa, on the other hand, is a cigar man through and through, and it only took him less than two years to get his hands dirty again with a new line of cigars, the CLE Cuarenta Habano.
CLE, which stands for Christian Luis Eiroa's full name, are the true embodiment of Eiroa's passion for cigars. The boxes for the CLE Habano Cuarenta have an elegant design with an original color pattern and a red bottom with the CLE monogram. CLE is a limited edition line made in small batches with Habano Seed wrappers.
In the December 2013 issue of Cigar Aficionado magazine, the CLE Cuarenta received a very nice 90-rating, assisting in propelling the line to uncharted heights.
Because of the CLE's small batch nature, future harvests will be vintage dated, or, as Eiroa puts it, "Tobacco changes every year, just like wine changes every year." I'll use the same varieties, but the cigars may differ because it's a different batch."
According to Eiroa, the dates will not be the harvest date, but rather the date of production for each subsequent edition.
