To be sure, CAO produces some cigar lines with intriguing names. For example, they have a whole line of cigars named after different places and made entirely or partially with tobacco from that land and only that land. They took a different approach with the Flathead series. Something classic, something 'greasy.'
The Flathead line is a throwback to the 1950s, when cars were gorgeous and pin up girls were equally so. It also makes sense; the aesthetic is returning these days, with pinup girls aplenty and the revival of so many lines of old muscle cars, so why not create a cigar with the same feel?
The Flathead cigars are all wrapped in a red and silver band with an image from the 1950s on it. The V660 Carb is the line's Gordo size, and it's a good place to start for a long and chewy smoke. Like a classic car or woman, the entire line has a full body to it, and they are nothing if not flavorful and unashamed of it. The Connecticut broadleaf Maduro wrapper is combined with Nicaraguan and Dominican filler tobacco and a Connecticut habano seed binder to create a delicious and oily cigar with deep flavors of earth, leather, and spice. A fantastic cigar that you will enjoy whether you are at home or away.
